Hey folks! We here at the Dad? are putting together a good old fashion compilation. Now this isn’t one of those cool-big-tough-guy-hawdcore-bullshit comps. First off, this comp has no specific genre. Right now, we have some bands confirmed ranging from post-hardcore to punk stuff and even possibly a metal band. What we’re trying to get at is we know our friends make good music, and we understand people listen to a lot of different kinds of music.
Also unlike other comps, we’re not charging for bands to be put on it. In most cases, thats dumb and nearly defeats the true purpose. All we ask is that you and your band (of musicians, not thieves, we hope) is fine with giving the song for free. We releasing this for free and only digitally. If your band is not okay with giving the song out for free, than have fun paying for exposure when the opportunity is free right here. What we’re asking from the bands though is an unreleased song if possible. We understand for some bands that may be difficult due to recording opportunities, but keep in mind, we at the Dad? Collective will not judge. As long as it is a decent demo even, or a song done in a professional studio we’ll take it. You don’t even necessarily have to be a “member” of D?C.
In short-Give us a song for free, and we’ll put out there with some bands/fans in different scenes to hear and find out about your band. Unreleased tracks would be cool, but if not thats fine. The songs must be emailed to dadcollectivecomps(at gmail.com) by February 29th. Act fast we don’t want people to be drowned in all of this radical music at once, so your song may be delayed until the next one, in which case we’ll let you know.
